Sympathy Quilt Card

I got this pattern from Jill Olsen and I changed the colors and a few of the other elements. I love this pattern. And, I love the triple color rock'n'roll technique and the way that it makes the leaves sort of soft and feathery.

Vibrant Birthday Card

This is my first card that is all my idea. Sooo...I little bit nervous about it. I think it is bright and vibrant and perfectly cheery!

Hello Blossoms Card

This is my Hello Blossoms Card. I love the colors in this card. It is one of my favorite color pallets. And, I got to use a new technique when I made it. I got to use the Shaving Cream and Ink Refill Drops technique. It is a fantastic technique that allows you to be able to take white card stock and make your own patterns on it.

Every time I see this card I think of the song Hello by Martin Solveig and Dragonette. I don't know why. It just reminds me of that song. And, now that song reminds me of this card. I actually considered using a clip of that song for this video. But, copyright laws and all that jazz, had me leaving it out.

Cupcake Card

This is my Cupcake Card. I made this using the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp. It is a large stamp you can color and decorate, and it has wording on it with lines made specifically to make it easy for a person to send a Thank You card. I just stamped the outlined cupcake down and cut the image out into 2 pieces to make it more of a 3D card. There is another card very similar to this one in the Stampin' Up! 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. But, the cool thing is that I hadn't seen it for almost a year. I didn't remember exactly what kind of decorations were on the one in the catalog so, upon finishing mine, I found the one in the catalog again and, I am surprised at how similar the two are. We crafters are a like-minded group.

Wrap Around Card with Vellum

This is my Wrap Around Card with Vellum. There is a card somewhat similar to mine in the new 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. I really did change mine in reinterpretation. I re sized the inside from what was in the IB&C. I used Vellum while the one in the catalog used card stock. For a while, I have felt like I wasn't so much creative as just good at seeing and copying. Now I realize that, every card we all make has elements from someone else's work. It is just how you apply those elements in your own work and creations that makes a piece truly your own. And, I feel that is what I have done here. I did make this my own and, I'm really proud of it.

Step Ladder Card

This is my Step Ladder Card. I got the basic layout from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator and, I just re-interpreted it a bit. I love it. It is really kind of simple to make. It's versatile. And, I have found that people really like the 3 dimensional cards.

I actually made two of these. One is for a neighbor who brought my dog some treats and a handmade card that her daughter drew for him, after his surgery on his hip. The second one I made is for my Vet. My dog was such a mess. He had lost a lot of muscle. He was really only using his 3 other limbs. He is 10 years old and has some problem with his liver that we can't quite figure out. But, my Vet has been great with him. He has worked with us to help his liver. It isn't great but, it is so much better than it was a year and a half ago. And, now he probably gave Frizbee (my dog) another year or more of life by repairing his leg.

So, I really wanted to make something to show my appreciation for the kindnesses of my neighbor and my Vet on behalf of my healing and feeling better 4 legged fur ball.
